hey people.need some help.

I have a eclipse 2002, and recenty broke down from an accident, anybody know wher i can buy a cheap engine for 2002 eclipse, engine type 4G64. thanks a lot. i would deffinitely appereciate your help.thanks.

i would check junk yards...considering the high sales volume of the 3g eclipse, there should be Plenty of them in junk yards wrecked.

People sell 4g63's on ebay for real REAL cheap all day long. Also is the bottom end junked or the while motor b/c most 4g63's on ebay are compleat motors, although they are turbo motors the only difference are the strength of the internals, the headgasket, and the exaust manifold, which I am assuming that it was a head on collision if the motor broke from an accident. So that may be something that you would want to get intough with a dealer about, which will rape you for the price of the downpipe, or a u pull it.

I deffinitely don't know much about cars, I was told that when they put water in it it dsn't go thru, first they replaced my radiator which was broken from the sign i hitd on thruway when they try to start it it won't start. So they checked the engine and they said I need to get a new engine. They said my car might be running without water for a while but right after i hitd the sign I notice the temperature was going up so I ddnt start it anymore. And I just said ok for whatever they said but for some reason I can't believe that the sign can ruin my engine when it was blocked by the radiator and thers no leaking from the engine. ANy advice?

try replacing the radiator and coolant and seeing if it starts first. mechanics love to turn a little job into a big one, especially when their customers dont know any better...
