you cant tune it untill you have a wideband to read your AFRs. Even still you prob are going to need some fuel upgrades to beable to tune in any direction since your stock fuel cant do much for you.

This is what I did:
Fuel upgrades:
190lph or 255lph fuel pump (need a fuel pressure regulator for the 255), I chose the 190
Injectors (I got 550cc's)
AEM Uego Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge (very important)
SAFC-II (use readings from air/fuel gauge to adjust fuel parameters)
and to get the most reliable tune, get a pocketlogger, like a palm pilot with a program and a cord that connects to your obd-II, that reads all of the cars data, this ensures you're not going to blow something up and lets you know whats going on with your car.

How much more power did those mods provide, Burn? Ive got like... none of those installed but a wideband. Though I do have a Walbro 255 from a disaster of a Celica project car...

Its not so much that youll add power on the stock turbo. its more effective on slightly better turbo is where the gains will start to jump up

With my old turbo setup, the car ran like crap with all of those things I listed installed except the SAFC-II and the datalogger. Once I installed the SAFC-II and started adjusting the fuel parameters based on what the a/f ratio gauge was telling me, It made a huge difference. Before the SAFC-II, I couldnt outrun a sunfire, after I installed it, I out-accelerated my buddy's 2006 BMW 325xi with a pretty rough tune. Nothing amazing, but I would say that's an improvement.

te said i dont need to worry about any upgraded fuel pumps or injectors at this point but i understand it would be good to upgrade. what is the right a/f ratio? what would i be looking for there?

get a walbro 190 fp and a turbo upgrade before anything else. When ready to tune get 660s, safc, and something to tune with all at once. widebands are nice, but dont give you enough info. So you know your af ratio, but does that mean you can keep upping the boost??? You wana know what your timing curve looks like, an i think thats the most important piece to know how your engine is handling all the extra power. I tuned off a pocketlogger alone and had excellent results. Of course I could have benefitted and squeezed out some more power by going to a dyno/using a wideband, but i kept my tune conservative and was still able to hit mid 11s

10.9-11.3.... I got an 11.1 on my Evo. And if your wanting to run more boost do the fuel. your stock system will only run you safe at 16-17PSI on the t25 and even less on a 16G if you upgrade

trust us you will need the fuel upgrades

TE/Emonz... How do I know which injectors Ive got in there? If the turbo and fuel pump have been upgraded, is it a safe assumption that my injectors are diff?

i would think so, but imo i'd still check just in case =D. nvr can be too safe

According to the paperwork that Ive got here... they are "FIC 650" Im not really sure what all that entails... What I CAN tell you is... they were $300. I dont know if any of that was helpful or not...

so they are 650cc injectors. That is a good size for the turbo your running

FIC stands for Fuel Injector Clinic... I have bought injectors from there in the past. and 650s are more than enough to make lik 350HP im sure they could get close to 400HP getting close to maxxing them out

660's are kinda overkill for that turbo. I would just go with some 560's. Thats plenty and it will make tuning alot easier

dependds on where you live. i can easily max out 550s on a 16g in cali on 91 octane
TheEngineer

thats true. I was figuring 93 pump. But im still kinda surprised your maxing those out. What kinda a/f are you running.
