well... $200 well spent i guess-1991 talon broken timing belt non turbo 5 spd  power evrything and it all WORKS - even the drivers window goes up & down right. 134k miles, pretty clean car with nice interior.

Not bad at all. Especially for $200. Though 1Gs always look like Ford Probes to me.

So you did the timing belt and it runs?

I can't not comment on it, lol.

It's a good looking 1G and a good price on it too as long as nothing internal broke.  So, um....what are your plans for this one?
Are you going to do something to her so that you can run it on the dirt track?  Is this going to be your DD?
I knew you weren't going to be able to stay away from these cars, lol.

lol. well heres how it went, i turned the cams over with a wrench after i got the belt off,none of the followers were loose so i was hoping i would get lucky
 the tensioner **** out and the belt just fell off.
so i put the slightly used belt off the Tsi on it just to see if it would run - runs on 3 cyls, #2 has no compression so its got a couple bent valves but it doesnt smoke one bit or make any noises.
im probly gonna keep it as a DD for a while then cut it up and race it.

Hell yea, the ever lethal 3-banger, lol.

it still does a burnout

Damn right. Its still a Talon. A+ for that.

its funny when it idles it sounds like it got 272 cams-  the intake valves being bent drops the vaccum to about nothing
