I have a 99 eclipse GS. I wanna put a turbo motor in, but i don't know what all i need. I know i need engine and trans, and ecu and wiring harness. BUT will the turbo motor bolt up in my non turbo car. Are the mounting points the same?.. Need help..

"This project is extremely time consuming, complex and expensive due to the amount of parts needed to perform the task. The parts alone can range upwards of $5000. The basic parts needed are: Engine, transmission, ECU, intercooler (and piping), fuel pump, complete exhaust system, and possibly a few more things not mentioned. The two options above are definitely better choices for the less experienced. Consider the cost of simply buying a factory turbocharged DSM before attempting this swap."

thanx for the info man. I was thinkin it might be easier to just find an already turbo platform. Now i need to find someone that would sell me a turbo car..

Just rebuild your 420A for boost and slap on a turbo kit and youll be makeing huge power without going through the trouble of selling and re buying a car.

search around the site here there have been a few threads about turboing the 420a motor
