Is this for an Ebay resistor to magically add 20HP?
If I'm not mistaken the IAT is integrated into the MAF sensor on the top of the intake. If you bought one of those resistor thingy's get rid of it.

By relocating your IAT (Intake Air Sensor), you can fool your car's computer into thinking that there is more cool air entering the engine than there actually is. This causes the engine to increase the amount of fuel that enters the cylinders, as well as altering the timing (advancing it 3 degrees), thus creating more power. This mod is especially beneficial when used with an aftermarket air intake system. Please note that there is a trade-off with this mod: your car will loose fuel economy.
I'll have to take a picture to show you where it is on the Outlander.

I keep hearing that this theory is flawed due to the fact that there actually isn't more air entering your system, thus dumping too much fuel into the engine. The cooler air is more dense than the warmer air, thus the fuel ratio adjusted. The more lean the mixture, to an extent, the better. Damn it, I hate conflicting stories. See JMC, I thought I was learning about this kinda stuff and you had to throw a wrench in the plan. Thanks a lot. Now I need to do more research.

It's not integrated into the MAS on top of the intake?

Follow your air intake back past the air filter box. Right after that there is an electrical connection with a grey connector...i think it's grey. It'll be the only connection right after the air filter box, that is the MAF sensor. I cannot post a pic right now due to very heavy rains, but if you don't find it post again. It may be on the diagram under the hood for the emissions control sticker too, look for that sticker to help also.

On the 4G69 it will not be quite the same, but use the location as your guide, it will be in the same place.

I'm not sure, did you read any of the replies though? There is a pic of the location posted above, you will not confuse it with anything else, it's on the top of the air intake ducting right after the air filter box. What are you doing to your AIT/MAF sensor anyways?
J you did great, we're proud of you, I didn't think this thread would still be active though. Maybe it's time for your camera, hell with the rain and snow.
