In my opinion greddy and Apexi are the best brands.  I have the Apexi n1 exhaust on my gst and my friend has it on his gsx and both sound amazing.

hmm, not sure if i want to spend quite that much but i prob wont have to, you had to buy a turbo exhaust, ive just got a rs so ill get an n/a exhaust, prob wont be too much of a difference but a little, but ill def keep it in consideration even w/the price. what are some websites i could check out?

dont go straight pipe and stick with piping at 2.5" or less. But getting rid of the cat will make your car sound like @SS. Its not worth it. Just get a catback and headers

yea i was plannin on 2.5" piping, but yea idk, ive got a few friends that have straight test pipes and they sound really good, im not quite sure what one w/a cat is like yet so but idk, mayb i will just do a cat instead just to b safe and have it sound good, but ya right now its stock exhaust with a gutted cat (came w/the cat gutted) and its like kinda quiet but loud at the same time, but its def not good enough for me, all my friends w/their eclipses and preludes sound really good and deep and thats what i want now  so but ya, thanks for all the help guys, ive got a pretty good idea of what i want now

Just remember that when you have a guted cat or test pipe the car is not exactly legal.  But i have a test pipe on mine and it sounds good to me, not sure what it would sound like on a n/a eclipse.  Just make sure that you get a good full exhaust and not a fartcan.

oh i kno, but i dont think i should worry about that, i live in ohio, haha, thats more of a californians worry, hahaha. but yea, hmmm, well i would hope it would still sound good on an n/a, i mean my friend who has a h23 lude has a straight test pipe and it sounds amazinggg, i kno tho theres a lil difference between our cars and hondas tho so but id think itd sound just as good tho, but im not sure, ill decide once im actually getting the exhaust kit, yea  i kno, im truly a muscle guy inside so i already decided that im def not just buyin a big muffler and welding it on, haha, its catback and header or nothing, lol

check out youtube, great idea of how it'll sound on your car, i got the catback from MR as well, was wanting to get the headers from them, but something always came up to where i had to save my money and spend it on something else rather than car. have fun with installing the exhaust, lol. i had a tiny problem where the flange of the MR catback met the flange of the cat. had to file away metal from the MR catback because the bolt was a bigger diameter than the predrilled holes on the catback. but that shouldn't be any trouble.

no no no no no you HAVE to get a cat in ohio, trust me. I live here too, and you wont pass e-check without one, which means you can get new plates for your car, etc. etc... besides your n/a car will sound terrible without one.... i took off the resonator on my car cause it has a leak in it and just replaced it with a straight pipe and i wanted to kill myself... i wound up replacing the whole midpipe (which had 2 resonators on it :-))

hmmm, didnt kno that i had to pass an e test to get new plates and crap up here as well, oh well, yea i was just sayin id like to get a straight pipe but i can handle havin a cat so ill just do that then, oh well, so but ya, oh cool, wut part do u live in? im in cincinnati, but ya, lol yea i kno, its a honda, but really it sounds good, like might just b my opinion but it does sound really good on his prelude, he has an se

yea, hmm, i guess in a sense tho its really a lot about personal opinion, some ppl may like how an eclipse sounds with a straight test pipe, kinda like myself but im leaning more towards just getting a cat instead now, but ya really tho like i mean my friends prelude sounds really nice with one, and another of my friends that has a 97 gs has one and it sounds kinda good to me as well, but i mean i guess if i really dont like the cat i can always gut it out  nahhh

Tusdo full catback run for $200 and under shipped, Megan full catback go for $350 maybe a little less or more shipped on ebay. Don't get an Apexi N1 or greddy when you have an NA. About 5 hp for $500 isn't worth it..

Meh... it all depens on what your skills are and what equipment you have acess to.
im in the same place as you are, but i have the skill and the equipment available to since im a tech and workin at a large dealership!
at this point im lookin at building a complete 3" exhaust for my gst...
and to take it a step further :)
im gonna use a warlock muffler with ab electric cutout at the warlocks cut-out point which will open under WOT.
thats just a rough idea...
but heres a couple of links :P

http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php - cut out

http://www.holley.com/types.asp?type=399 - warlock muffler i was talking about

also was gonna use dual 3" exhaust tips

Dont sound bad to me.  Cat back + test pipe.  A header will make it have a little deeper sound than in this vid.
