The air would seem to be fairly cool..there is an air intake scoop right behind the grill.
We'll have to wait a year or so to see some any significant aftermarket...
If you're interested in Intakes, you can write K&N and request development of one.
Mitsubishi is missing out by not bringing over some overseas accessories. They'd have little competition at this point

I would personally like to improve the exhaust system, begining with headers and downpipe, the muffler is ok I gues. But man have any of you guys been down there, thats got to be one of the most restrictive piping I've seen in a car, I bet we can free up 10+ HP with an aftermarket exhaust setup.
Oh by the way, I've written a request already to K&N, the intake is fine I guess, but a better filter would be nice.
I really hope the aftermarket is kind to the new outies, because the last gen bareally got any attention, aside from the RA mods that would bolt on the 4G69.

OK....I went onto
www.fram.com and found that their CA8208 Air Filter fits the 2007 Outlander. This is a standard duty filter. I did a reverse look-up of this part, and found that it is the same Fram sized filter that is used in the 2003-2006 Lancer Evolution. I then went to
www.knfilters.com and looked up an air filter for the 2005 Lancer Evolution. K&N does make a drop in filter that fits the 2005 Evolution. following this line, does it seem realistic that the 2005 Evolution filter from K&N will fit in our 2007 Outlanders????? I had been in contact with K&N Customer Service and they stated that they do not make a product for the 2007 Outlander. Is it possible that they just did not know that it is the same filter as the Lancer Evo?
FRAM Filter # CA8208
K&N Filter # 33-2105

I all for beefing up the exhaust and making the outie sound as beefy as the infiniti fx, but would enlarging the size of exhaust piping void the warranty? If not, that's something I would like to do and maybe even a hi-flo muffler like a flo-master.....hmmm but again...

I'm not going to bother with a K&N..I've used one in my last 3 vehiclse, and the drop ins don't make any noticeable differences (other than lightening my wallet) and may let in more dust...paper filters let in plenty of air for stock and mildly modified engines.
The intakes usually will gain more HP at high RPMs, but usually at the cost of low end torque.

It looks like it might be hard to get a real cold air intake to even fit on this thing not much room...

Thanks for checking......I figured that it was too good to be true.
No current K&N filter fits the new Outlander.........if you want one made email them and get on the list.
