intake piping?

Will a "cold air intake" kit for a 2g fit on a 1g?  if not, why?

i dont believe it will because the MAF sensor is different and has a different end. Unless you plan on going to a 2g MAF then you would need to get one specific to a 1g. Someone correct me if im wrong

No, it wont, well not off the bat anyway... for the same reason Jon said.

It looks as if it would... but if that were the case there would be more people doing it.

They didnt actually make one for the 1gs. All you need is to hack up the stock air filter can because its really restrictive.. and then put on a K&N and your good to go

by "hack up" the air box, what exactly will i be doing? cutting as much metal away as possible, leaving just enough to serve as a supporting bracket?

After you max out that MAF, your next step should be a 2G MAF or EVO MAF in terms of lbs/min of flow.
