Injen i believe is fine for a stock system. I think as you look for more power it will become someone of a restriction just because of the design. Emonz actually has it on his 400+ evo and i think he was gonna be changing them out for something better. But for a stock turbo and boost they wont be a problem

they are not bad BUT I would go with ETS pipeing kits if I could start all over again because they look alot better and routed better
I'll be going with the buschur piece and a small battery kit, myself.

Is a hard pipe kit that much better or should one just get a whole FMIC kit? more like is it worth it to get a hard pipe kit.

depends on your mods. IMO the pipeong it is more for looks than anything. But there is also no need for a FMIC if your on the stock turbo in most cases. that asside with a piping kit you can alway use a different FMIC at a later time it takes very little to make them fit from the stocker IC to a aftermarket one. For example I was running the injen on my stock IC and now I have all these mods and a new FMIC and still running the injen up pipe

ETS
Buschur racing
AMS
all of those will be just as good or better than HKS and cheaper in most cases.

thanks what i was going to get was the ams kit but hearing about the mts, its sounds better. but i look more in to it, if i was going to make my own, what kind of materials should i use for better performance and looks.

cool ill check that out cause i hate the stock piping, it sucks with a good intercooler, if i would have known about these things i would have done,my performance instead of looks.

I kinda liked weapon r piping kit. Nice size and smooth bends , very nice welds and everything u need to intall . but u got to use mini race battery kit. ams mini race battery kit is what i used

I wouldnt get the injen. If your gonna be relocating the battery you might as well get some good piping like buschur

ETS is just as much as the injen. and it look 1000x better and they have a short cut for cars with the battery moved which means less bends and quicker responce

Yes and less bends mean more power . The weapon r kit i got it nice upper and lower i/c pipe was about 350 shipped. I think upgrading the lower pipe makes the bigger difference. When u see an aftermarket next to the stock lower pipe you will question what mitsu was thinking cause it diff was not power and quick spool up. thats for damn sure.

The stock lower pipe is a joke lol. I laughed when I took mine off, then again the injen lower pipe is almost the same thing pretty lame. But my Turbotrix custom lower pipe for the 50trim is real nice

Ya the weapon r is full 2.5 in from inner cooler to turbo outlet tube. Plus weapon r kite comes with a bigger outlet pipe. Only thing i didn't like is the threat nipple they put on was way to big for the skinny vac hose so i had to threat in a skinnering one
