i have a stock 97 gst spyder...mods are fidanza clutch and flywheel, greddy rs b.o.v,greddy turbo timer, downpipe, apexi n1 exhaust, would it be worth it to get a intercooler kit ,or should i wait till i get a bigger turbo?

You should get a MBC and gauges before you get a FMIC.
you can get a FMIC with the stock turbo but you wont get a power increace... you will get the power once the bigger turbo is added.
So you have a stock modded car?

well actually i blew the stock one i had then i bought one from this guy who rebuilds and sells brand new turbos...he said the turbo i bought was kinda like a upgrade from the stock..he said liike a 35% better turbo..something like that ..i wasnt to sure ..but the only mods i have on now are.....springs shocks, apexi n1 exhaust, downpipe, greddy turbo timer, greddy rs b.o.v,k&n filter, fidanza clutch and flywheel

You want a boost gauge and a manual boost controller or an electric one (set to 15-16 psi). (depending on your budget)
I think you have what is called a 14b turbo. Its a little bigger than the stock one.

now the 14b does it have the 7mm opening? sorry if q's are repetitive,im just tryin to get smart with this stuff so i dont blow another turbo..my budget is really tight now i have a baby on the way...but io mean i have a friend next door who owns a subaru and he said he has a mbc and he'll give it to me once i get a boost gauge..so i guess thats priorty for my next mods then...

Im not too sure what the opening is.
However the stock turbo sucks anyways. There is no reay way you could have prevented that. Dont worry you wont blow that turbo at 15-16 psi. Thats awesome dude is it a manual boost controller or an electric one?

does your turbo point to the side? like to outlet to the intercooler piping? not the actual intake. Cuz if so, its the T25 housing. But where he said its 35%better, you may have a variation on the Big T28.

Yea its probly one of your spark plugs is not fireing totally right. I had the same thing when my after market wires were cooked.
All you have to do is get anothe rset of FACTORY spark plug wires and a set of NGK spark plugs. Dont bother with aftermarket ones they suck.
