Has anyone figured out how to hook up an Ipod to the MMCS without using the AUX behind the center console? In my old car, I had an aftermarket part that also charged the ipod, and was discretely placed. Anyone find anything that hooks directly into the back (no FM transmitter), and charges the Ipod yet??
I searched, but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!!!

The dealer can get you one but it will not charge the Ipod. It plugs into the back of the radio.
Part # MZ360224EX List $44.95

Accroding to the brochuer (spelling) they have an "ipod cable" under accesories on the page where it shows colors and leather options. I asked the dealer and they said it like a square box that plugs in to the head unit and cost a couple hundred dollars. It plugs into the head unit and displays on the screen. I could be wrong but those are the exact words from the dealer.

FYI - the Mits accessory is for nav and non-nav systems without the rear entertainment system.

Mitsu makes one that charges and uses the head unit contols and is $200.00, but it will not work on the 07 Outlander. The iPod cable is the only one Mitsu offers for the 07 and it does not charge the iPod and you have to use the controlls on the iPod.
Antlip,
Your dealer was wrong. Get them to check out Parts Bulletin No. AI-XX-01-07 Facts about Ipod adapters and MP3/Ipod cable accessories.

Yes, some dealers are better than others. Mitsu gives us the info but no one makes us learn it. So you are only as good at your job as the effert you put into it.

Does only the adapter from mitsu work? I've tried one of the cables you can buy at a store and the mmcs doesn't seem to recognize it. Someone else told me that I should be able to connect it through the yellow/white/red hookups in the back of the center console. Haven't figured that out either. Need help. Thanks!!!

I bought my cable from radio shack for like 8 bucks. Its something like 3.5mm jack to rca ends. You plug them in and put it on AUX and your set.
