You cant put a 4g63 in a rs or gs. The best thing you can do is
to just do body work and make it a clean ride. If you want something with more power potential, look into getting a gst or gsx.

It will not fit in the engine bay, at least not without alot of fabrication. The rs and gs engine bay is a full 4 inches smaller than the gst/gsx.

Because cost wise it just isnt worth it. There is alot of custom fabrication that goes into it. It is by no means a direct swap. The engine mounts dont line up and youll have problems fitting it with the front crossmember. Also the engine is mounted 180 degrees from the 4g63. Its just not cost effective when you could just buy a 4g63 eclipse in the first place.
And to the OP, yea its not too bad of a price. Just dont expect it too me fast. Its a reliable good gas mileage car as that is what it was intended. Anything more than that costs a decent ammount of money to even get it over 200whp. So thats just something to keep in mind. Performance aside, its seems like a solid deal

If you want performance then yes. Sell it and guy you a gsx, you can usually find them for anywhere between 6-10k.

what about the japanese "cyclone" motor?? does anyone have info on that?? It's a 4g63t motor but the manifold is moved and the fuse box and all that crap is set up like the 420 motor.. I don't know TOO much about them but my mechanic put it in a gs and he said it fit with VERRRY little mods. The engine runs for about $3,000 tho.

Thats too much ^^
www.dsmtrader.com www.****s.com get 50 posts on
www.dsmtalk.com and you can get into their classifieds... although some of those morons think their car is worth 10x what it should be.
Also try eBay.
Remember, you have to be prepared to go a distance for these cars.
