whats the story on the t-case / yoke recall, i cant find anything for some reason, mine leaks like a bitch even with a new seal and leaks sitting still in the driveway. was there a hole in the back of the yoke?

The leak was because of a brass stopper that had problems. The recall was not the t-case itself, just that litlte brass thing. If its leaking in a place other than that.... then you have a problem unrelated

yeah i have to take the t-case up to the dealer bc of mine is re called. i needed to look up something and they ran my vin and they said it was recalled. and that there was no time limit on the expiration on the racall, meaning it can wait another 5 years and still be warrentied when i take it up there

well all my stuff was replaced from another car, but that means if that brass stopper in the yoke is leaking ( which im positive it is now) , and i give them my vin, & the car was never done they will still do it?
i know this car couldnt have been done because all the drivetrain was gone when i bought it because the guy told me he bought it new and the transfer case locked up so he just took it out.
might not even be worth the trouble, i should just weld the hole shut. its a slow leak and sprays all over hell under the car.

yea so whats another leak, the engine spews oil from every seal or gasket in it, this car will surely never rust from the bottom up.

Ya just give the dealer a call and give them your vin#.  They can tell you over the phone.

i bet they tell me its done already just so they dont have to do it. lol.
or they wont do it because i cut the dust sheild off the yoke because of it being bent and rubbing the other one. they always have an excuse here. ill call anyway just to check. maybe ill get something out of them for once. makes me wonder since they cant even find or order me a tailshaft seal for the T case.

i just fixed it myself, i found a leaky brass plug in the back of the yoke, i poked it out and welded the hole shut & replaced the tailshaft seal in the t-case since i had it apart. no more leak so far.
now i just gotta get the engine to quit regurgitating oil all over hell and ill be ok.
