I have an 06 Eclipse GT with the leather and suade seats. I was wondering if the seats should be treated with anything to protect them from sunlight or spills? I have seen some older cars with leather seats and the seats look cracked and aweful. I want to avoid this if possible. I only plan on keeping the car 4 - 5 years but I am not sure how long it takes for the leather to look that bad. I have asked around and some people believe I should apply some leather treatment but others say that only makes it worse. What do you guys think?

All depends the condition of the seats currently. Make sure you apply a leather moisturizer fairly frequently. I'd do it something like every time you clean the interior or every time you get an oil change or something. The cracking and fading is usually caused by the leather getting dried out by A.) Sun and B.) Heat in the winter.

the easiest things to get are the leather cleaner wipes. I believe a couple people make them, but meguilars is the best. It makes it so much easier that all you have to do is wipe them down.
