what makes you better than that dude in the civic? if you start yelling at other people in public that you dont even know just because you're not a fan of their car, than what makes you any less of an a$$hole?  The truth is, that civic could probably smoke you're monty

his monty probly weighs double that civic (even if that guy and his girl boh weighed 200 pounds each. lol) and it would probly still be close (once again i know im new but ive been around cars all my life and i can personally NOT be on honda's side cause ive had two and they both ate **** after a year so sorry.) monty im  with you on this all thah way. lol

yay a supporter for the monty lol but this del sol was a pos....blue smoke came out of the exaust the body was rusted they guy with a mustang next to me said he had him by his throat for talkin s***....hes well known and very hated cause hes too cocky and an a$$hole......... so even if i lost a race(id prolly win still) i have 4 freinds at the carshow with a GTO judge, 5.0 mustang a 3.0 vulcan ford taurus and a 2007 lancer to smoke him as well

nice. my popz got a judge 2. but all fiber glass panels and lexon windows so its strictly track. but a judge never the less.

2200lbs is alot in the Honda world, you have gutted hatches weighing in at 1700 pounds, with driver.
Plus a b-series engine will add more to that then the stock single cam. Have you tried purchasing a EF hatch. Their the lighest hatches. The obd-0 to obd-1 conversion is quite the hassle but is worth it in the end.

yeah. im going by what i see in my neighborhood anyway. theres three guys that have them, ones neon orange, one is puke green, and one is 5 different colors (rust is thah superior one). and they all have unpainted body kits, that stupid thing that makes thah blow off noise (but no turbo) and a three foot tall wing on each. (can we say ricers?) lol. im shure it will be sik-nasty what ever you do either way.

oh, it will be :) lol   talked to a couple of my honda guys this morning and it looks like i'll be taking the road heading towards the turbo.       was debating wether to go stroked, fully built ITB 10k reving all motor monster at about 290-300whp :) or turbo it.   apartnely stroking these cars is not good for it but i could still slap 12.5:1 compression in there and be about 250whp but i really wanna hit that 300whp mark and have a turbo sized enough to push 400+ when i want it.    i think a gt30r should do the trick :-D

I'm not saying it's super heavy, because i god know i would kill for my comaro to be 2200lbs. But it's all relative. Your not going to compare the power of a ls1 to that of a GSR. Not to say it's greater in anyway, but you have more power pushing more weight. RCJ, i'm not trying to tell you it's a bad idea of modding the delsol, but understand when your stepping into the honda world, weight is the name of the game, and when your competing with hatches that weight 500 pounds lighter, theirs going to be a big diffrence.

But as i see your going for high power, and when  your hp range breaches 300hp, in a honda, that's real fast and the concentration focuses more on traction, and how much suspension work your going to need.

yet another thing I agree with Gus about.  And as I said it still is only FWD at the end of the day.  If you must do I honda I say hop in a s2000 and do some crazy motor swap.  They got a few 2jz gte swapped s2ks out there now imagine that one

if i got a s2k i wouldn't know where to start (all motor, turbo, supercharger).     and i'd LOVE to get a s2k but if i could afford an s2k i could stretch it out to get something i want even more (probably s15).   anyways i appreciate where you are coming from Gus and i agree.   in the whole honda world i'd say on a scale from 1-10 (1 being a tank, 10 being a stripped out strip car) i'd say my car is a solid 7.5-8 though.  right now there is no interior, no carpet, nothing i the trunk and the un needed crap in the engine bay is gone so i'd say i've prolly cut about 100 (if not more) pounds out of it.     and since i have decided to go turbo w/ it... yes it will be faster than 300whp :)  a nice gt30r will get me where i'm lookin to go.       as for suspension, Tein will be helping me out in that aspect.   it will be more of an interstate car than anything.... i'll actually have to get a whole different tune for street lol   full power would be wayyyy to much, i wouldn't catch traction until late 3rd (if that) or even early-mid 4th gear.   

this is what I dont get.  Id rather havea FAST car that is fun to cruise.  no way in hell a car with no interior is Fun.  it will be loud annoying all the sound will resinate inside every bump and stone in the road will sound like you hit a wall.  All for what?  an extra tenth in the 1\4?  Is that really worth it?  Id rather have a car that can run the same times on brute power with full interior

dude, i only have it stripped right now for extra power now... there is no resonating sound b/c it's still stock exhaust (soon to be greddy evo2)  and it's actually kinda cool to have no interior... i duno if you saw it but i think it was either Import Tuner or Modified w/ 2 EK civic hatches one bright pink one bright oragne, both w/ k20's.   1 all motor, 1 turbo'd both pushing like 320whp i think and the pink all motor one had no interor but it was SICK!!!    i don't plan on this.  i'm having all custom interior made for it.  i think i'm going to just black the whoel car out.  black paint w/ gold metalic flake.  smoked head and tail lights, dark tinted window's... and probably a set of nice gold rims.      AND A JC WHITNEY DOUBLE STACK SPOILER, NEON LIGHTS UNDERNEATH THE CAR, NITROUS PURGE SYSTEM, AND CHROME WINDSHIELD WIPERS LOL.
