hi, im a newbie.. i own a 1991 mitsubishi mighty max 4wd 3.0 pick up... the truck runs good motor wise, but i am in need of a complete tranny for it.. anyone out there that can help, i would greatly appreciate it....looking for the 5 speed tranny.. thank you....

Have you tried any of those places that advertise "imported low-mileage japanese engines & trannies direct from Japan" in the little nickel paper?
That's where I finally found one for my 92 Expo LRV AWD. It cost me 700 bucks, but came with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. The two estimates I got from tranny shops were $950 for a rebuild with mostly used parts, and $1,800 for a rebuild with all new parts. And that's with me doing the removal and reinstall - and hauling it to and from the shop!
As spendy as $700 may sound for a used tranny, considering that it came with the warranty included, and compared to the alternatives, seven bills seemed like a bargain.....
