loud pop sound??????????????!!!!!

yesterday i was trying to see how fast my gst does 0-60 and as i was pushing the gas i shifted @6000 rpm and all of a sudden a loud ass pop sound happend!!and ever since then now i can shift my gears without my clutch its trippin me out and also now it has a weird idle very hard to explain but it doesnt sound normal please please can some one help me right now im gonna remove my intakes and look inside the turbo to see if there is any visual damage..well hope is not as bad as it sounds thanks to all!!"hopefully not broken gst"

So... hang on... you can shift without using the clutch now?

yes i mean not when im power shifting i really havent tried it but i was cruzin and i smoothly shifted from 2nd to 3rd without the clutch i dont think thats normal u have any idea what it could be????????????

yeah thats possible. Some people do it but you have to be skilled to get away with it.

There is nothing wrong with that just dont do it all the time!

The pop was simply a backfire caused by unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust. This is very common in turbo cars and nothing to be worried about.

What do you mean by the weird idle?

hmm let me try to explain please bare with me...??? its like a regular idle but the sound goes low then high etc but it stays under 1000rpm..now this "backfire" happend as i was pushin it and when i heard it i threw into neutral and was pretty freaked out ..but i trust u ...u seem to know alot about dsm...im tryin to learn so if u have any basic knowledge or pointers let me kow...apreciate it..thaks alot

The only pointers i have... is stay away from ebay, change your oil every 3k and drive it like you stole it
