anyone heard about chevy's new engine the ls9? i guess its supposed to be in the new 2008 "blue devil" corvette. i heard its a v8 supercharged with like 900 hp to the crank or something like that. i also heard there puttin it tin the new camaro.

my bro told me it was 1500 at the crank but i looked it up and it said like around 600 to the wheels or something so i dont really know what to believe any more. My bro's hella wrong and crazy. if it really had 1500 hp and the crank about how much would get to the wheels?

A little over 1,000 @ the wheels, thats abt 30% driveline loss.

yeah thats a lil crazy so that has to be wrong. i dont think a v8 supercharged can do that legally with these emission laws

No matter what think about it, the Zo6 is what a $70k car that is Ls7 7.0L 505HP and wegihts 3000lbs or so. Now add a new motor making even more id bet the tag will be around or over $100k, FOR A CHEVY now that is insane. Then again Ford does have the GT

i believe the new corvette's supposed to have a lot more carbon fiber and even better weight distribution... should be a pretty sick car
