Unless that box does something special, I'm doing the same thing with a 3.5mm stereo jack lead I had. Bare the wires on one end, fit 2.5mm female connectors and fit them into the existing terminal block, cost will be about 50p.

The info I have says: Not applicable to Outlanders with factory RSE. Factory installed RSE offers RCA jacks at the back of the center armrest for audio (and video) input.
So I don't think it will work if you already have RCA jacks in the car. Sorry.

Damn well this all blows. I was hoping to put this thing behind my head unit and have the wire up front. Looks like im back to tossing that wire around the outlander still.
If you already have the RCA cables going out of the 18 block connector on the back of the radio to your floor console, I would have thought it would be pretty easy to just splice a lead into those cables and feed the lead to where you wanted it.
That same cable is available in the UK, just priced it up at a Dealer at £69.00 plus VAT, that comes to £81.07 and at the present exchange rate, thats about 160 USD!
