All Forums » General Mitsubishi Chat » Mitsubishi Cordia TURBO, A rare breed......
I must have joined a half a dozen Mitsu. forums and I can find VERY little if ANY info on this rare and dying breed. Granted, its not a power house in todays standards, but it a fun little car to drive. For of you that have never heard of the car, Most auto parts store question me when I say Cordia...
Its a turbocharged 1.8 SOHC 2 door hatch back. Ive owned a couple turbo cars in my time, Nissan 200sx Turbo, Mitsubishi Starion, Eclipse GST, ect. This little Turbo Cordia was bought to keep the miles off my Mini Cooper S, but the bug bit me and I stated to do a few things as install a FMIC, K&N Air filter, Blitz BOV, Act HD Clutch kit, MBC, Boost up to 11 PSI from stock 6 PSI, Turbo Timer and a dash full of gages. Now the car is a blast to drive. Sorry to ramble on, but do any of you know why might the Turbo Cordia be such a unknow car here in the states? The Cordia was VERY popular overseas, but not here. The Cordia had a nice production run, 1983 to 1988 then in 89 the Eclipse took its place. yet not that many people know about the Cordia and to my surprise alot of the Mitsubishi guys have never heard of the Cordia. Gee, I sound like a kid trying to find his roots...*LOL* How can I find out how many Turbo Cordias were sold here in the states?
