whats the deal w/ mod chips, are they really worth it? for instance the hurricane-horsepower modification (websight- http://www.hurricane-horsepower.com/#hpchart -) they claim to improve HP w/ no mpg lose, if not an improvement on mpg.

so no, they don't do anything, anything good that is. its all over the internet that there great, but i trust people more than websites that are selling them, thought i'd ask before i bought. i have a 2000 eclipse GT and a small budget,any recomendations on power gain?

intake... otherwise your looking at spending over 400 for anything else really...

hah, did you look at that website? All of the different stages that they sell will give "Up to 20 hp" , but yet the price range goes from 9.95 to 39.95.. Why in the hell would anyone buy the more expensive one if they all give the same hp?

how much would you estimate a mechanic would charge to install an intake system or is it easy to install yourself? and what would you recomend cold air intake, or V2 intake?

the V2 is a cold air intake... Cold air intakes are nice and do make a minor difference.

Install it yourself it is like a 10 minute install and requires no knowledge what so ever...its very easy
