I am working on a 97 eclipse with a bad 420 motor. Has anyone done a motor swap from a 420 motor to the next generation 4G64 motor. If so how difficult is the swap, and what needs to be changed. I am new to working on mitsubishi motors so any help you can give would be appreciated.
I forgot to mention that we already have the 4g64 motor from a salvaged 01 eclipse.

if ya want a 4g64....buy an eclipse that has one, its way expensive to do the swap that its cheaper to buy a new car, but if you love fabbing and modifying...go ahead

Ya, just do some searching.. This topic has came up a lot lately, and you should be able to find all you need in the last couple of pages.
