i was driven down the highway as usual from school an a mustang pulled up by me (indiana highway speed limit 55) i was probably goin 60 well we took off an as usual i was beating him in my 1998 rs an it cuts off at 100MPH very unusual it always used to buzz around at 125mph it felt like a fuel cut off or somthing does ne one know what the problem is ? i use the middle octane which is like 90 or 91

Based on what you described is sounds like your engine was starving for fuel. I would suggest looking at the fuel filter and perhaps any strainers that may be present in your fuel injection system.

hmmmm.....fuel starvation, hmmm maybe too rich? lean?? time to upgrade the ignition. more fuel , more power. but you need something to burn those fuel, aftermarket ignition will help.

wow what kind or rs you have that goes up to 125 mph hour because i had a rs too and the governer kicked in at 120? now i got a gst way better get a air fuel guage and see if you are running lean or maybe you need new injectors
