I guess you just have to be into music to appreciate it.... the riffs are perfectly composed with the camina burana, and the girl singing is tarja turunen, the best voice out of finland.

Nightwish is probably the most amazing display of opera and metal around.... but then again, this day and age "AWW SKEET SKEEET!!" is like the best music lyrics ever created

mainstream music getting terrible.  there is a lack of originality in 80% of radio music.  I used to be a modern rock fan, but I turned into a metal/hardcore fan because of the fabricated generic style, selling out to become popular, and bands ripping other bands off. I started listening to hardcore because hardcore is more about the music, not the money.  The live shows are absolutly intense, and the bands are extremely dedicated to their fan base.  And if you're pissed off most of the time like I am, its good therapy too.

HIM is one of my favorite bands, even though I too am into the mor hardcore metal music.
Ever been to a Bury Your Dead show?
If not, you should.

MAN...  HIM should just slit their wrists and get it over with already.  Sorry every time I hear about HIM all I can think of is a talentless singer that should quit whining and die already.

Now Styx THAT'S a high energy show!  Megadeth is another awesome show to go to.

Sorry morbid, but i listened to your other music you posted and Im just not into that..  Im a beat and rythym guy..  I can't get into that "Japanese" music or whatever you called it before...  I like just about everything but constant screaming, and constant swearing...  I can even put up with oldies when i have to..

Even though I really like HIM, I agree slightly with Sang.
Valo is a little too whiny, but the musicians in that band make up for it.
Saw them last May in New Orleans and I was awe struck.
AMAZING show.
And also went to Voodoo Fest last october.
Red Hot Chili Peppers AND Duran Duran pn the same stage.
WOW.

HIM can burn in hell but yes, I have seen Bury Your Dead live. Not a bad show at all. Although the song that Morbid posted was not my style AT ALL, I do agree that there is too much **** being played everywhere: the bowling alley, the radio, my friends card, everywhere. I don't mind it once in a while, I will be honest, it's funny as hell when you're in the mood (rarely) but I like my metal and mathcore, techcore whatever core. (Personally I hate the whole core lingo but I don't know how else to describe it.)

e.g. The Number 12 Looks Like You, Circle takes the Square, Bleeding Through, On Broken Wings, Circles Over Sidelights, Daughters, fear before the march of flames.... the list goes on and on.

I love different music, something about it not being overplayed and not alot of people listen to it around here I suppose... if you want I can link alot of heavy big hitters from japan that do an amazing job

heres one band from japan anyways, I just got back from their first american tour....   they kicked ass

As far as HIM.... I liked HIM...Love Metal was a great CD, one of my favs to be honest.. But then, as with all good things, something just had to destroy the band. After Mr.heylookatmeihavemyowntvshowwhereistageeverythingandgettenthousandteengirlsandposerstolikemebecuaseimcoolohandbythewayisuckatskatingbutimagreatmarketingtoolsogoelement!! aka Bam Margera  said, "HIM is the greatest band ever" ...walaaaaaaaa instant OH MY GOD BAM SAID HES COOL AND NOW I HAVE TO GO AND BUY ALL HIS CDS, CLOTHES, AND SHOES occured and the band got pushed for cd after cd...anddddd eventually you end up with a piece of **** like Dark Light....  Shewwww with that fifteen dollars i could have gotten myself a nice set of neon washer nozzles....damn  lol j/p
