any 4G63 header should fit your engine.

The 63 header fit on a 64 head??? I could see using the 63 head on the 64 block but not the header on the head... Maybe I'm worng?

from this site... http://4g64.150m.com/performance.html

Headers: There are a few vendors that have made headers for the 4G63 non-turbo engines (found in 1G Eclipse & Talon non-turbo). As such, those should bolt onto the 4G64 without a problem. However, to my knowledge, this has not been tested or done by anyone. Proceed at your own risk as it is likely you'll need some sort of custom exhaust work to join the headers to the stock cat location. Also, RPW (from Australia) has headers for the 4G64 Spyder.

The hedder for the 4g63 will work on your head, the easy way to boost a 4g64 is to get a exaust manifold from a 4g63 and just bolt it on.

yup...if you go to the link that i posted and click on the turbo link at the top, on the second page, it lists the parts needed to boost the 2G 4G64. #1 part is an exhaust manifold from the 4G63t.

no the 4g63 header will not bolt up to the 4g64 head because the bolt pattern is different i spent 2hours trying to make it work

See now if you paid attention to your own post it said "SHOULD fit the 4G63 but HAS NOT been tested"...

97GSPower....didn't you have a Megan Racing header? maybe that was the problem. i would see if a stock 4G63t exhaust manifold would fit.

x2 the hedder may not fit a 4g63

all i know is on megan racing site it say it fitts the 95-99 none turbo so if that is differnt that the 4g63 then i am wrong

No the heads should be the same for the 4G63T and the 4G63. The only real difference is valves from what I've gathered info wise. Therefore the 4G63T header should fit the 4G63 head and vice versa. I don't know about the 4G64 head though... I wouldn't think they'd be the same.

The 95-99 non turbo cars have a 420a in them except for the 96-99 gs spyder. Mitsu. used the 2.4 motor opposed to the 2.0 motor because the spyder weighed more and the 2.4 was a bigger motor, even though it only pumps out 10 more hp. The 89-94 non turbo cars came with a 4g63 and a 4g67 which share the same head as a 4g64 whish is the 2.4 motor in your car. Your trying to put a chrysler hedder on a mitsu motor.

So to make that clear, the 4g63t manifold will work on the 4g63 n/a motor along with the 4g64. The 420a is shaped much differently, thats why it wont work.

as slow said....you bought a manifold for the 420a not the 4G63. You have the 4G64 engine.

420a - 95-99 n/t eclipse
4G64 - 96-99 n/t eclipse spyders(this is what you have)
4G63 - 89-99 turbo eclipses.
