It will fit with modifications, not to mention he would need the 1g intake manifold. I'm not trying to take your sale, but it's not a bolt on affair. For a temp situation, stick with a 2G head until you get the other rebuilt.

since we are on the subject. . . anybody have a 420a block laying around? i don't care the condition as long as it isn't cracked. i'm using it for my rebuild since i can't afford to have it off the street.

i have a 96 420a block, its actually from a SOHC neon motor, but they used the same as the DOHC motor

what mods have to be done to fit a 1g head on a 2g block??? maybe that would help me to tell which bottom end is in my car weather its been modified or not..

In your case, I would get a 1GA block, new pistons and be done with it. Do you have a picture of your exhaust manifold, intake manifold, and coolant fill head in your thread (I don't remember if I seen any). Feel or look at the oil pan and referrence this link..

Give me a bit and I'll find the info for putting a 1G head on a 2G block, I doubt that there will be much because it's 99% of the time the other way around if not a complete 1G swap.

i know its a 1g head on mine, and a 7 bolt, i'm sure you rread through the thread about the paperwork saying theres a 95 motor in that car, or maybe was and isnt anymore.. so far ive came to the conclusion its a 93-94 n/a bottom end with the turbo head and metled evrything

ok i just thought of something 100% obvious that im a complete dumbass for overlooking, BALANCE SHAFT was gone on 2g engines,...right? mine has it, ok so i have a 93-94 motor, if i would use my brain once in a while...
sorry i keep buggin evryone in all these different threads... too much coffee, im gonna try to stick to one thread on this car so its not so confusing
