need help deciding

well my mind has been racing
 
Should i
 
buy a 08 lancer and be happy
 
or buy an 03 model and fix it up and al that stuff
 
also i was on youtube and some guy said he droped an srt 4 motor in a lancer is that possible

Are you talkin about an 03 Evo?
 
An o3 should have no fixxing up to do.  Maybe some rutine maintanence thats all

well it all depends on what kinda money you want to spend and what you like. Personally the 08 is definetly gonna be the better choice for many reasons. I think those cars will have a much larger aftermarket down the road since they share the same engine and chassis as the new evo X. And you will have no maintenance issues for a while. Also i heard that the new lancers actually have pretty decent handling.  And i think they look better. Id go down and test drive one and see if you like it.

i'm a tad bit confused.  you are asking which car to get but the price of an 03 EVO is probably the same if not cheaper than an 08 lancer.   but you would rather have a Lancer ES and swap an SRT motor in it? why not just buy and EVO?  it's awd, WAY better handeling, way better power and look better than a lancer.   i say eithe the 08 lancer or the 03 EVO.

andf i test drove the 08 lancer....make me wanna drool lol was so beutiful and was so nice but yeah lol

id go 08evo IMO b/c thats jus me...SRT motor in a lancer is possible but just stupid because of the cost if it was ever to break down or maintain...and TE, is tha the FINISHED MR2 in ur avatar?looks nice

i understand your question dragon but it is an irrelevant question....  for the price of the lance, srt engine and the swap it would end up being cheaper, a lot cheaper to just buy an evo VIII for 18-20k.

wasnt me gonan put it in but it was just a random question my main concerin is about the two lancers lol

i still say in the long run the new lancer is the far far better choice

here's a logical question we havent covered yet that will decide a lot..... what are you looking for?   if it's luxury, go w/ the new Lancer, they are sleek and sexy family/luxury cars that are very appealing to the eye and a fun/nice ride.        if it's performance than i'd go w/ the 03 EVO.  you can get them as cheap as 18k these days no problem and we all know how well the evo's perform and how easy it is to mod them.

How is this even a question? Gotta go Evo!!  Get a nice Evo and buy a $1000 beater to drive to work or in the bad weather.
