I went out and looked at the tires on my Evo last night and the insides of both the front tires are completely bald (too much fun in the corners I guess) and a set of the stock tires runs about $1200.00...OUCH!!  Does anybody know where I can get a decent deal on a set of stock Advans?  I was also looking at the Falken Azesines RT-615 as many Evo owners said they were pretty good, and much cheaper at about $550.00.  Any other recommended tires?

I wouldn't run falken tires if they were free. I've always ran brigdestone and never looked back. Go to tirerack.com and look them . read the reviews and the ratings. Plus you have to think what are you going to be using these tires for . auto cross , drag racing , normal everyday driving. if you get to soft of compound like 200 or lower tire your going to wear throw them very quick , but the upside is great traction. to hard of compound like a 400 you will get long life , but not as good traction in the twisties

here a couple of my choices that all be looking at getting this summer for my evo
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE050A+Pole+Position&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=345YR7RE050APP&fromCompare1=yes&place=0&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=(Y)&minSpeedRating=V

This tire is alittle bit more gear towards track and road tire . great ratings dry and wet traction $556 set of 4

This guy is a nasty track tire and wet traction is down alittle , but not much. $736 for set of 4

Now you don't have to go brigdestone , thats just what i prefer. go on the site and browse around. hope some of this info helps. Also traction aa and tire temp a is the best rating a tire can get so lean towards tires with these ratings. even traction a and temp a is good also. just double aa means more overall traction in wet and dray conditions

emonz only has cheap tires on his evo and they seem to work fine. I mean he was able to pull 1.8 60' with them. Ive heard the stock tires suck anyway. I think the best way to get tires cheap (at least where i live) is find whatever ones your gonna buy online cheap, and then go to a tire place and alot of the times they will honor the price

I've done quite a bit of research and I think I'm going to try out the Falken RT-615's.  These tires don't have the best ride quality or treadwear but I heard they are one of the stickiest tires you can purchase for the price.  If anybody has had these tires let me know how you liked them.

i have kuhmo ecsta's on my mr2 and they are ok. Not really optimal for any kinda of racing. But great if you just want something for daily driving
