The car sounds on the whole very nice, but in my experience $20 000 for a 1997? hmmmm...I'm not sure about that one!!
The problem is the car has been over capitalised, the car itself is only worth between $8 600 to $10 800 (120 000km to 150 000kms).
I'd be thinking that everything that has been done wouldn't have costed more that about $10 000 tops!!! So its probable not the best buy.
It is also important to remember that when YOU go to sell you wont get your money back.
Thats just my opinion.

thanks nathan..everyones opinion will count..
i hope that u r taking acount that the $20 000 is australian dollars..? yes no?
and considering an EVO my mate was pointing out to me was $85 000 i think $20 isnt that much! in that case of course it's still a fair bit..lol
the paint job alone cost $18 000

I am taking the $20 000 as being Asutralian. I live in Australia so its harder for me to take it any other way.
I'm sorry but $18 000 on a paint job, to me that is just too much. I guess I don't have money to burn on paint...I have a mate that does paint jobs so I only have to pay for paint. Mind you I'd probable only go metalic...maybe.
There was a VERY VERY nice EVO on Prestige Motor Sports, that's a website that imports into Australia...not sure about worldwide and they were asking $43 000. So again I think $83 000 is a bit over priced. I'm not saying don't buy it but you could by something younger and possible better, and doing it up yourself. Which means you can make it 'yours'!!!

any idea how much it is in U.S. dollars, or how to convert, cause a very custom paint job here runs about 5 000, at the very high top end, so reading 18 000 for one is like, WHAT????!!!!, i make just over that in a year!!!!!!

$18000 in Australian is about $13000 in American.

$40 000 in a heap to pay for a first car...only because (sorry to mention this) the rate in which new drivers crash is quite substancial.
However, if you like it and you are willing to pay what they are asking then it doesn't matter what I or anyone else says...does it!?

Get some pics up! I love to see the cars from other countries, it's always amazing that even though people are like thousands of miles apart, we all share the same tastes.
