Not an everyday occurence

So today at work, a little after lunch, I was given a work order.
"Cust. sts Remove Dash and Extract Snake."
I say "What the ****?!?!?"
Immediatley go to my boss. He's just like me, baffled.
So I grab the keys and go to this car. I open the door and look down and there she sits, wedged over the A/C box and everything.
I am not even asking how it got there, cuz its a big damn snake.
So I get in the car (that was towed in btw) and proceed to cautiously drive it in. I can hear the very aggitated snake trying to wiggle out as I drive.
Get the car in the shop (a Mercury Grand Marquis) and start to get to work.
Removed the front seats and started on the dash. Oh yea, when i start on the dash,  I am really twitchy and freaked the **** out.
I look to see where its head is at before I disconnect the steering. It seems fine. I put my air rachet in there and BAM! i'm bit.    Hits my left middle finger. Bleeding quite nicely now. So much for a clean battle.
Wrap it up and back to work. After about 3 hours of slow moving, I get the dash loose and me and another guy pull it out.
Now let me make note that besides the guy (who brought his testicles to work) helping me, every one else in the dealership, including the owner, is about 10 feet from the car just watching.
Ok, dash is out. I now see just what I am dealing with.
He's ONLY about 4 feet... maybe 5.
so now we decide to tag team and knab him.
I lunge towards the head and grab then neck while my partner grabs the tail.
Somehow our efforts worked and the snake is now in our possesion.
He place him in an emptied 55gallon drum and breathe relief.

Now to put the car back together.

God damn what a day.

Louisiana.
It was the mans pet, but it got out its tank while he was driving and slithered up there.
How it just "got out" beats me, seems fishy, but i dont care, i made my money.

Was it the owner's pet snake or was it something that managed to crawl in the car somehow?  Either way that's some crazy shyt.

The American way! Sue the mother ****er!
Naw, i'm alright. It was crazy enough as is.
Besides, I doubt I would have enough legal grounds to file suit against him.
The only thing that could happen is he get charged with animal neglect.

Damn, that was a crazy day!  Why was that dude so afraid of HIS snake anyway, a 4-5' python is a domestic size (according to the Discovery channel and it's programs, lol).  Anway, what was that dude afraid of?  It's his snake?  He shouldn't have one if he can't even deal with it.  What a moron.  Of course I only say that because I don't know the whole story, lol.  Good on you for not being afraid of it....but still, the owner's a moron, lol.

yea i doubt it was because he was afraid of it. He just needed someone to take the dash apart. I used to have a python about that same size and they are great house pets. They require alot fo work though cuz of the environment they need. But they really are harmless. At least mine was. The best part was watching it eat the live mice

he definately wasnt forced to deal with the snake. He could have just said he doesnt want to mess around with a snake, and someone else would have been assigned to do it. He cant sue for anything. The only person he could sue is his boss if he completely forced him to do it.

The only reason I agreed to it, was because how unusual the job was.
