oil dipstick problem

well my car overheated today and the handle to the oil dipstick broke,anyone ever had this problem?so now i cant get the dipstick out.does that thing that the dipstick goes in bolted on the motor?how can i remove that thing?

its actually just screwed into the block... so just twist it to the left
