Paint job opinions

I saw this
paint job and I also saw a car similar to that at one of the car shows. I was wondering what ppl thought of that color with the carbon hood but minus the crappy rims.
Let me know your thoughts and what color rims would go with that.
Be brutally honest. I got thick skin.
Thx

Matte color, looks nice, and since its a neutral color it goes along well with gunmetal, silver, and black rims. IMO it looks nice.... problems i just make sure they can actually do it cuz ive seen attempts at matte colors gone HORRIBLY wrong.

Well in the article it says it is Carizzma Flat Black and I thnk they toss on a flat clear too. I dunno how expensive that brand of paint is, but i guess I would shoot for something similar. I should also save some money coz I guess i wont paint my current hood but simply swap it out for the carbon fiber one.
Does anyone know where I can get the paint? I just wanna kno price in case I can get it cheaper than a paint shop.
My main problem is I feel like black rims and gunmetal rims are over done. I also dont think silver/chrome rims are my style.
Thx

lol, flat and matte is the same but flat is more widely used as a ther for a less gloss color, you can either ask for help on the paint shop on finding the paint, you can go online, some dupont shop near you, or check out house of kolor online.
If you want different rims, you can always customize... bronze is always a good option too... remember you can be original and come up with something new, just dont make it too..... i dunno... ricey, like exagerated contrast...
Things are meant to done the right way :)

yea well ya gotta think, if black or gunmetal rims are overdone then silver and chrome ones are even worse... ive always loved the flat black paintjob, but on a really nice car, like a mercedes or something... i think on an eclipse it just looks like another guy doin body work that spraypainted his car flat black lol... but if you did it right and everything else looked really clean you could prolly pull it off. i would go with black or gunmetal rims though... and if there was anyway you could buff the clear down or put a flat clear on the carbon hood i think that''d be sweet too

Damn sk8, you dont think the Eclipse is deserving of flat black paint. :( I agree with you tho, it has to be done right.
I was thinking of getting blue rims, the dark blue ones. Then set up my headlights and fog light in blue HIDs and may be do my mirrors in blue, but i dunno if that works with the hood. Lol
The bronze rims could work buyt I would like to have an accent on the car to match the rims too.
All in all I am glad ppl like the paint job. I just gotta call the shop to see if they have a flat clearcoat.
What would the flat clear on the carbon fiber do?
Thx

no no no no no no no no no... blue rims would look really weird and not good at all lol... i''d seriously go with the black on black option, seriously

Yea I am thinking it would look weird, but I feel like the black on black has been done to death. That was my original plan with the tinted rear lights and with my black projector headlights + the carbbon hood.
I know a shop in Jersey I think that will put rims on ur ride so you can see how it looks. Maybe I will do that after i get the paint done and take pics and post them to get pplz opinions. I''ll see if they''ll toss on the blue ones and the bronze ones. Bronze just seems so loud tho.
Black or gnmetal is my default option if those colors just dont feel right.

im not sure how bronze would go with a carbon hood.. but that paint job would for real look sick if of course it was done right.. you should definitely go with it.
i HAVE seen carbon fiber wheels though.. hahah

There is only ONE line of full carbon fiber wheels.

Actually you can find various tones of bronze.... from really "HEY LOOK AT ME GUYS" to a discrete elegant look, rims are not made in just 4 shades. I agree with sk8 though... if youre having flat black... make it look i dont wanna use the term, but you might understand me easir "VIP" style... (gawd.. i sound so dumb).
By that i mean... elegant subtle, and things that make it stand out, but that dont look out of place or bad.
AWWW heck... i couldnt find one, but *inster picture of a flat black car with dark bronze rims*

yea black on black accents are so sexy... on my last rs i redid the entire interior flat black, but in the "cockpit" i smoothed out the entire lower have of the driver and passenger side (including the doors, under the steering wheel, and the sides of the center console) and painted that gloss black, it was so sweet looking. it looked awesome with the new black seats and new black carpet

Yea I am still installng new black carpet in my ride now. I also redid the door inserts to black. They were green. Yea, I am definitely going for a more subtle look and obviously as sophisticated as possible. Though my Rhino lines window trim may look a little rough . lol
Where can I find the carbon fiber wheels and where can I find different shades of bronze rims?

Yea, well the guy there was a friend of a friend who I dint get to speak with. I know they dont have the piant but my issue is the guy said they only run maaco paint thru their machines. Damn franchises. I gotta see if I can talk to my friends friend.
Man carbon fiber wheels are nasty.
Now I gotta find a paint shop that can do my car. Anyone? Tri-State NYC area? Lol

So I found these pics while searching...
They don''t look so ad when done right, but I question their durability. And cost is also a factor.
