How do you get the passenger side door panel off. Not the entire thing but just the part that covers the speaker as i want to get at the speaker(it crackles) Do i just pull on it or is there screws somewhere? this is on a 2nd gen.

I never took mine off my Talon (2nd gen) However, If its anything like the 3rd gen you have to take of whole panel should only take about 15min each goodluck!

You remove the screws and then pull... it should pop off. Dont forget there is a screw in the hood handle thing (where you stick your hand to pull the door shut) under a plasic flap

Just to make sure, Sebba was saying that the whole door panel has to come off in order for you to get to the speakers. He was stating how to remove the door panel. If you understood that, then nvm. I just wanted to be sure you were clear on that.

So then it should just come off in one big piece?

Yes, the entire door panel needs to come off in order for you to get to the speakers. The speaker grills have tabs that are melted at the ends to hold it on. You can pry it off but you will screw up your door panel trying to pry it out....and that's just ghetto, take your time and remove all the screws around the panel (4-5) and 2 on the door handle. Pry the panel from the bottom rear (because there's enough room to stick you fingers [flathead] in there for grip). Don't just pull it straight out either, especially if you have electric locks/windows or you'll get a surprise.

Yeah make sure you hold onto the panal when you remove it.. or you could end up pulling it out of it.... i have pulled them off before too.
You didnt know that the whole thing came off? Oops sorry. The previous owner tried to pry the front off to get to the speaker... what an idiot.

Well, I got the door panel off and the speaker out. That darn wiring for the locks/windows was a pain though. I ended up just unscrewing the unit itself, the plug would not come out. Thanks alot for the help!

Lol, yeah, that thing is a PITA! You could have turn the panel upsidedown, while using a flathead to pry the plug lock and once you unlocked it, you could let the panel drop to your feet (you will save it from getting marred). This is your first time doing it, the next time or the driver's door won't be too bad. You will have to get into that panel again for something and you'll know how to get to it then
