Firstly, Welcome to the forums! You will find pretty much everything you need on here. If there is ever a question you want answered, be sure to use our search function to make positive that it has never been asked before (gets annoying

) Just be cool and you will love it.
So what is your budget?

If you want one then make sure you get one that came turbo already because if you get a NT you will regret it because of the limitations of the engine. But 300whp is very easily achieved in those cars with a 16g and some fuel upgrades and an SAFC. Total after the car it may cost you about 1.5-2k to get it there i would think since the 16g will be complete bolt on. However being an old car there may be some maintenence that comes first

agreed w/ TheEngineer. you can get a 1st gen GS-T or GSX for under 3g. i'd say for apx 5-6k you can have a relatively smooth running 300-350whp eclipse.

Agreed. But the problem is, is finding someone that actually knows what they are doing and loves/respects their car.

a GOOD 16g like the Evo III Big 16g aka. e3b16g will take you to about 350whp with a GOOD tune. yes the turbo and N/A models have different internals.

Welcome, your goals are easy to achieve. If you luck into one, get the GSX.

they are always for sale. it's all up to how far you are willing to travel to get one.
