So I stopped at this mechanic's that had an Eclipse, and I wanted to know if they were welling to sell the stock wheels to me.They wouldnt sell me the rims, because they want to sell the whole car (420a, auto) for $500.
Then I saw a RSX-S for sale. It was alittle beat up, fenders were damaged, it had a cracked window, and some of its interior was missing. But it had eibach springs, a clean healthy motor, and is for sale for $5000.
The guys son owns it, and also has a prelude and a civic si, I like preludes, but Im not really intrested in either as much as the RSX.
Im always having trouble with my car, I love it and all, but its pretty complex and expensive, so I was thinking I could trade it for the RSX, have them put $1500-$2000 into the rsx for the fenders, cracked window, and some seats and stuff, and I would have a nice simple car with lower insurance rates. (I pay $270 a month). I dont know if im serious about it yet, it was just a thought, but It would be really sweet to have a nice, less expensive car. What do you guys think about a rsx?

That RSX looks pretty ragged.
And I know insurance on the Eclipse is big, I pay $200 a month for Full Coverage, but the RSX is also a sports car by definition, so I doubt you'd be saving any money on insurance.
And since the car has been mildly gutted and abused, I really think you're better off passing up on the Acura.
Just because it has Eibach springs does not mean its worth a buy.
Personally, and this is strictly my opinion, you are probally better off with your Eclipse.
The fact its had some tuning done to it shows it was a "project" of sorts, therefore those people could be lying ass off to you about whats been done and an problems the car has had.
Be Careful.

yeah I dont think Im going to do it.. If I sell my car Im getting another mitsu or nissan. I was just thinking about it becuase I was pissed at my car and all the money it eats, but either way, a car is going to eat money, thats just the way it is.

you guys pay a lot for insurance!! Im paying 128 a month for full coverage.. But ya Josh is right.. I doubt you would be getting any less for the insurance on that RSX.. And as far as reliabilty.. You already know whats wrong with your eclipse, and what needs to be fixed.. If you get rid of it, you could be gettin into a whole bunch of new problems with that RSX that they wont be telling you about.. Who knows what you could end up sticking into that car..
