Is it possible to change the the tranny from a '97-99 Eclipse Spyder GS-T from FWD to AWD? If it is, is there anything else that has to be changed or modified?

This has already been done to a Spyder. Requires the same things as a hardtop. AWD spyders are nice.
You need:
Tranny
Starter Plate
Front and rear Axles
Transfer Case
Driveshaft
Exhaust
Exhaust Hangers
Manual Rear End because the Auto is geared less aggressive.
Various bolts and such.
Don't forget all the fluids.

Hmmmm, AWD 01 Spyder GT... I might give that a try, LOL. Then I'll have to add a turbo so it'll go too, not that 200hp isn't enough, but I'd be happier with more.

It would be much cheaper to make a GSX to a spyder because the drive train will have to be completely changed and so will a lot more stuff like the rear end and suspension and other stuff.

Are you saying that it would be cheaper/easier to top half a GSX to make it a Spyder?

TT, I am still wondering what you were implying.
