last night I ran an is350 with my crew, he was a cocky driver and at the end of th run I kept up, but there was a turn and I missed seeing the center devider, and well I hit the left side and damged the left fender, sideskirt, rims, both axles, lower tie bar, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do now, I had it taken on the flatbed, and the dude I was running ran to my crew told em I crashed and then he took off with three people running from the scene, only my crew stood by me, I see no frame damage thank god, but I ont have money for it................but I still kept up with it

Couldn't agree more.
Street racing has way to many variables. Not really worth the risk and I would hate to tell a parents child that there mom/dad died while racing me.

thats for your insurance to decide. They send it to a body shop, take a look, and depending on the damage, they will make an estimate, and if its worth more than your car(which it has a good chance of being, because you have an older eclipse) then they scrap it, and give you a check for the blue book value of your car(if they feel like it...Sometimes they try to add in extra variables and tell you your car is worth less than it is...DONT LET THEM **** YOU OVER IF IT DOES BECOME TOTALED!!!)

you know when ppl tell me they are "planning" on running a person i ALWAYS assumed it was a track race, i never thought they meant street race.   i completely agree w/ everyboyd about doing this on the track.  no offense but i think street racing is competely stupid.   i have done it a couple times but ONLY if there is absolutely nobody around, no cars, ppl, animals anything.  and it's always a straight road.

X2, Ron... Street Racing is fun... but not a good idea... stick to the track.

yea, you can do everything that you do on the street at a protected/safe and legal track.  except for high speed runs which is why we usually use the interstate at about 2am when there are NO cars at all on there.  if there are, we move to a different location where there are no danger (to others)

Yea, Drive thru about twice... get the lay of the road and check for ::ahem:: undesirables... and third times a charm. Fun fun.

so is there special insurace for car that are modded? bc if my car gets totaled bc of me or another car, will they only give me blue book? bc blue book is around 2500 or so, and i have 3 to 4 times that amount in the car.

w/ insurance... that's a very loaded question.    in my old Accord i had a modded integra hit me.   when i got my insurance compensation i got compenstated for the aftermarket rims i had on my car and for the aftermarket head lights but the guy w/ the modded integra got nothing for his aftermarket damage.   i think it all depends on the company.
