ok i am working on a 97 GST and we are trying to get the factory radio out and put in a alpine headunit. our problem is that we ripped out the amp that is all fine and dandy but we can't find out which of the existing plugs we are to use to bypass the amp and go straight to the speakers with out running new wire, if you have any idea and or can point us in the right direction it would be apprecaited. FYI we found out that the amp plugs in to plugs right behind the radio and we are trying to mess with them a little but can't find the right plugs.

why are you taking out the amp. do you have a aftermarket one.

Thats werid my car didnt have anyhting of the sort. I did a system in a toyota and it was very similar, hopefully you got a wiring harness with the raido, anyway that sould plug right into the harness that orginally pluged into the amp behind the head unit. If not dont even bother to call the satan (dealer) they will just tell you that you do not know what your doing and that you should bring the car in and have them service it. If anything call up best buy or a place that does things of that nature and ask to speak to the person in charge of the instalation dept. Usually they know exactly whats up and can help you out.
