the toyota supra is a rare car. my friends landlord has one, except its an automatic. I was thinking about buying it off of him or trading or something. How much would a swap from automatic to manual cost,? anyone know? and has it ever been done that you guys know of? and do you think it would work

if it is a TT the 6spd swap with all new toyota parts costs roughly $10k to do... no lie I have looked into myself for person reasons. But you should know the auto is the faster of the 2

Thats what Ive heard too.. I guess the trannys in them are good.. But you dont have to worry about missing a gear or anything with it..

I understand... simply because you dont have to lift off the throttle (let the wastegate open) and that saves the time.

well figure a Supra Getrag 6 Speed costs about 3500........USED!
but your lookin in the neighborhood of around 8K + or - a thousand or two
I did research because I was originally planning on gettin a Supra instead of a 3000 GT.

Any auto DRAG car is faster then a stick(when modified!). Auto trannys never miss a gear, and if you get a massive stall with some sticky tires you can get some crazy low 60's. My buddys TA has a 32 stall and that bitch pulls 1.8 60's which is equivalant to an awd launch.

stock for stock auto supras are still faster. the gearing in them is not as top end heavy like the 6 spd. Basically the auto makes less power to the ground than the 6spd but runs a faster 1\4 mile. the 6spd will get a few more MPH up top
