I am wondering if anyone knows how much refrigerant goes into the a/c system of a 1995 eclipse turbo gst.Thank you.

I can't tell you exactly how much but from experience you should never try to top up or fill your A/C system without a high pressure gauge and knowledge of the proper operating pressure/temperature ratios. Inexpensive gauges can be had and generic Haynes A/C books are available from the auto parts stores. The one I got was a heating and A/C combined. It's not hard but you do need a little knowledge. My Haynes manual lists for a 1991 Eclipse at 33oz. A newer Haynes may give a better number. You may need A/C fluid with oil added if your system is completely drained. Another caution is that if the system has been opened to atmosphere you will need to pull a vacuum to get rid of all of the moisture. Vacuum pumps are too expensive for DIY'rs so I always get my local A/C repair shop to do the vacuum pull and initial fill. It's also advisable to replace the filter/dryer if the system has been exposed to atmosphere.
