I have 27,105 miles on my 2008 Lancer no problems at all not even a single one.
Some issue that were posted on this Forum
1. 2008 Lancer not starting I have the same problem on the first day but I found out that it is really my foot that is the problem not the starter or the car.
Just step on the clutch all the way to the floor.
2. 2008 Lncer Sway to the left. Not really it is really how you hold the steering wheel and the car has too much power on it. if you notice on a red light when you release the clutch ASAP on first gear especially if the pavement is cement and a little slippery the car tends to drift and steering fights back.
It has a lot of HP and I notice this too with other 2008 models cars not only the Lancer.

Number 2 is called torque steer.
