Of course it is possible.  The real question is, how deep are your pockets?

Cant you do that with the VR4 tranny with a little wrenching?

Hmph, I always thought that 3kGTs were awd OR rwd... something about them... damn....

No Dusty, they were FWD and AWD.  Transverse mounted engine FTL.

Yes Sebba, there was a guy that welded the VCU (I think that is what he welded) and removed the front axles to make his 3kgt RWD...an exercise in futility in my opinion.

There are 2 RWD Stealths that I know of, although I'm sure there are more.  One was an ES, he fabbed up a live axle and a 440 from some old Chrysler.  The other was a VR-4 (changed the front to look like a Stealth), tube frame front end.  He used the stock VR4 rear end.

Find a local speed shop that does tube frame front ends, they will be able to weld one up for you.  They would also be able to weld in some kind of rear end...4-link or something like that.

sell your car and buy one thats already a rear drive sportscar.  It will save you at least 20,000 dollars and a year of headaches.

also i read about a stock vr-4 converted to Rwd and it actually ran much slower 0-60 and 1/4 mile times then it did when awd.

Yea it would be slower becuase it doesnt have as much traction but most the time they pump out better track times being rear wheel drive

Sell the SL/Base and Buy a VR4/TT. AWD is better than RWD Anyway

Save yourself the headache. Or If you really want RWD, go buy a Supra.
