service engine soon lite.. 2005 gts spyder

2005 spyder gts, 6 cyl.. at 49,994 miles my "service engine lite" came on and stayed on. is it suppose to do this at this mileage, how do you shut it off, what is it saying,,,, is it saying needs service or has problem?? your input will help.... thanks

You might want to watch the double post, but what does the owners manual say abt that light?

Take it to Autozone or the Dealer and have the code read to see what the problem is.

if your car is running good, not any problems that you can tell, just disconect the negitive battery post for about 10 min, then connect it back up and your light will go off. but if the problem is still there the light will come back on and then you will have to get it looked at.

tighten your gas cap lol that is the #1 cause for the light when everything else seems fine
