You might wanna get an aluminum racing jack, they're as cheap as $70 in most auto stores and only takes a few pumps to jack up the car. I have one myself and its way better than all the jacks I've used.

my cars too low to jack up too. you ahve 2 options:
1. lay down some 2x4's and drive your front tires up onto them, then start jacking.
2.(what i do) use the spare tire jack on one side of the car, when its high enough, slide the main jack under the engine and continue to lift

What about those mini ramps that you can drive your car up on, they are only about $40-60 @ advance. Would that be worth it too?

Ramps would work if you used 2 starter boards (2x6) about 2 ft long. Set your ramps up then place one board on each ramp about 1/3 to 1/2 way up the ramp and you should have no problem driving up and back down.

why waste money on them, you use it for better things.Besides, I dont think id feel safe working under my car and torquing bolts with the wheels on a ramp, what if your ebrake fails, or you dont set it good enough?

just buy a normal jack from sears. Theyre anywhere from $30 to $100+ for a good one. Your put the jackstands right where the stock jack would go if you were changing a tire and no it doesnt touch the plastic side skirts theres a metal member
