ok my 2005 eclipse is slow!!! i used to have a mustang that NOT JOKINg would smoke it in 2nd! my friend has a 1997 eclipse thts really quick. both cars are stock. whats up?

Theres your third problem.
 
Best way to cure that, buy a different car, and learn to drive a stick.

Well what do you expect lol.  But there probablyt isnt much you can do... maybe intake an exhaust but you wont get a lot of a hp gain.

The auto tranny is holding the car back majorly.

you should be able to do over 100 mph easily still even with the auto, i know i did 110 in mine easy

save up a few $1000 and go to rippmodds.com and buy one of the stage supercharger kits.   Otherwise sell the car and buy something else (no offence,  I used to own a 00 GS they are just slow)

Save going 100mph for the track.  Do you really want to chance hitting and killing a family in their car simply because you wanted to get your jollies?  I fail to see any logic here.
