According to kbb the vr4 early model have 300 hp and later have 320 hp. I thought the vr4 have 276 or just said 280. What going on there and another question what the "2" and "L" in an automatic tranny for?

the 2 and the l are lower gears...2 is 2nd gear and l is low gear (for winter conditions)........and where is this source of yours?

91-93 had 300hp, 94+ had 320.

L is basically 1st gear in a slushbox.  2 is, well, 2nd gear.

The DOHC's were 220 from the factory and I think that is being optimistic.  The SOHC's were 165.

when you say 276/280 is only JDM models that have 280 hp i think. 91-93 300 hp 94+ 320 hp =P, very nice cars, but VR-4 only comes in Stickshift 0_o
