Ron Good luck to you with getting your car done, and then racing this dude.. but if he frequently street races you may not have to worry he may have totalled his sh!t by the time your car is done!

Depends on what your racing him with and  how familiar you are with the car. Same with your apponit. Because your car is fast and has great handling doesn't make you a good driver. I can keep up with my friend in his 3.0L maxima in my stock 420A but when we switched cars for 2 days and hit each other up again I blew away my car in his car.

that's just sad that your 420a will beat a 3.0.
i'm racing im in my JDM GSR B18c powered Del Sol S (lightest trim) with everything taken out of the car and the extra weight of the new engine i'd say i'm pretty close to stock weight which is 2200lbs. the engine itself is rated at 190-196hp but i've also got a high flow cat, evo2 greddy catback, AEM Short Ram, Lightweight pulley kit, no AC, no PS, Fidanza Lightweight (6.98lbs) flywheel, and a B&M short shifter.    all i could find was the specs on the GTS - 152hp with a curb weight of 2944lbs.  w/ 1k extra weight i've got him no problem.

thats what i figured. get that honda done and go to the track i want to see exatcly how fast it is. wish my car was that light

well hopefully by mid 09 i'll be turbo'd at 300whp.  thats all i want out of it.  n/a will still be quick for the time being though.

LOL! and its a 5-speed. I didn't beat him just stayed on him I thought he was gonna pull on me. I beat a dude in the newer montecarlos the same night just 0-60 in a 50mph zone he blows past me after I slow up and flips me off. I don't know my car is weird You would think a stock 420A would get beat by everyone and there grammys. I LOVE MY CAR!!

LMFAO!!! na na nah 17.432 in a 1/4 miles 102.32MPH. Man I was goin so fast down that baytown raceway that I thought I was gonna go back in time. 
But for real tho I know my car is slow and its known for being that why thats y I love it so much. I draw less attention to myself. So I get less ppl wanting to race me and less cops pulling me over. Thats why Im gonna stay with the sleeper look and still debating on repainting it.

it's not a sleeper unless you have something under the hood that is not expected.   if i see a GS or RS on the road i don't think another thought about it b/c it IS slow.

I was speaking in futur tense. Right now its just another stock car on the road. The whole paint situation I mentioned b4  was about the futur color I want.

riiggghhht BUT just having a point job and N/A bolt ons will not make ur car a sleeper either. and strapping a turbo kit won't make it fast either unless you spend the $$$ to build the motor.  even w/ a turbo kit with the allowed 8lbs and a nice tune,  i'd still beat you as my car sits right now.

N/A bolt on a 2.0L I4 is waste of money because of what my overall goal with the car is. what does a paint job have to do with it being a sleeper? I don't think we're listening to each other. My paint is fadded so it looks like its a raggedy car hence no1 will mess with it nor try to break into it. I awell as the color I was debating if I was gonna leave it that fadded look a lil longer or not. My goal with this car is just to AWD and turbo it and leave it as a daily driver. AWD for safety and better control and turbo because of the extra weight. Slapping on a turbo will kill my engine and trans. Waste of money to rebuild something Im not gonna keep and I know Im gonna have a problem sellin later on down the line.
 
P.S what are you gettin at the wheel horse power wise?

This is my defintion of a sleeper. But me personally would want it quiter.

ummm your joking right??  that time is not real.   Johns Turbo MR2 ran a 14.55 at only 98MPH how the hell do you figure you can trap 102?  102 MPH traps are that of a 13 sec. car.
 
oh and AWD conversion is no going to happen either why in gods name would you waiste all that money instead of spending half the amound and buy a GSX and re badge so it looks like an RS or something cause you whole sleeper dream is kinda bogas no offence

i'll be pushing apx 160-170whp and by the middle of 09 be pushing 300whp along w/ another car (looking like its gonna prolly be a EVO IX)
 
Emonz said it all.  if you plan on going awd in your rs/gs than you are flat out - AN IDIOT! and i'm not sorry for beling so blunt.  you could spend 5k on a running GSX w/ mods!!! it would cost you OVER 5k just to do awd.  but if you like spending un necessary money than go ahead.
