The "Challenge"

Well as some of you guys may know i have a 1st gen talon tsi AWD. The 2 "fastest" cars at my school are a neon and an integra with a turbo. My talon has never seen the school parking loot and wont untill thursday. My guess , and my friend's as well, is that my car with take the title of fastest car. What are your opinions? Sadly it is pretty much stock for now but summer has a lot in store for it.

the integra isnt bad but the neon looks like a POS...i might buy a 2nd gen talon tsi

I would just worry about the integra, Before you race him do some free mods: Remove the air filter, remove the bcs, remove the spare.... and if your desprate, theirs a way to make a boost controler for free. If you dont know what your doing then dont do it, you can easily blow up your motor. Remove the bcs, after you either replace the boost hose or use a hose mender kit take a razor blade and make a small cut in the hose( I mean small) I am talking pen tip size. That leek in the hose will act as a mbc and up the boost a bit, but its hard to do with out an acurate boost gauge( the factory one is not acturate).

sorry i didnt mean that stock. It has a mbc and gauge. It has a K&N filter. RED top battery, ngk iridium plugs and accel wires.

i know that neon is a pos, it has been the fastest car for 2 years now but the integra came along last week.

Neon is slow

teggy might be able to move if it is a GSR youll lose since they run low 15s stock and your car does as well.

tidus come on man daddys car they will just die laughing. I make fun of people who borrow there dads car for this reason. Its like me saying well keiths RX7 I should take even though I didnt buy it.

but I wouldnt mind smoking the Teggy myself though I know my car would prolly eat it up from a stop at least

Alright, for some reason I cant get the bps over 10 with balls. I think it may be my halo though, with out balls I can ramp up to 22, but with balls and my eyes set on force she wont go over 10. I am going to switch the halo over to a set of 9 volts and see if that helps. Other then that its aweseom. Last week I dropped 300 in parts for it. Did you ever get your halo back?

Turn up the MBC to 16psi. Remove the air filter and remove any weight that you can. If you have any cash then get your stuff ported or something. Remove the air silencer (the paper filter located behind the MAS).
Remove the smaller of the two honeycombs in the MAS - Do NOT remove the larger one. This modification will allow 2-3 psi more boost before hitting fuel cut.

this fall i know i will beat him. Im putting an evo III 16g turbo in with a fmic, 660cc injectors, 3" gm MAF, 3" Exhaust, wide band and SAFC-II. His car didnt come with a turbo he just put it on. He is gonna leave his car how it is untill he graduates

The evoIII16g is only a small upgrade from your 14b, I have seen people hit low 12s on the 14b. Also the 3" gm maf isant needed either... instead of getting all of that you could get a 2g maf set up, along with the ecu and fuel upgrades and be just as fast then the 3" gm maft and the evoIII16g.

sorry i know i need the pump. So the evoIII 16G wont do much better? I want to get as much acceleration as i can. If i upgrade my fuel system and stuff what can the 14b put out? Also is there a different turbo i should go with?

the evoIII 16g is just fine.

with the boost up to 15psi you should have no problem with them. Just take them from a stop, it will be all over quickly

A local kid is running 12.2 on his 14b with some other mods done. Where another guy is running an 11.8 on a 16g with the same mods done. So we are talking 4 tenths of a second. My point being if you want to beat the teggy you dont need a new turbo, just some bolt on's and fuel managment.

So basically it sounds like the Integra will beat you unless you get some mods to your car.

not really. I dont see that integra really breaking to far into the 14's. So that should be no problem for him

if the integra is put together right it can be quite quick. there are 3 boosted integras down the street from me and i got to run the fastest of them and it would kill a decently modded talon.

They will be no problem for you as soon as you get a MBC...

Ah I miss the high school days... If only I had the Conquest when I was in school... I woulda OWNED the place LOL

yea i got my halo back in order and all that fixed...i posted a video on here a while back of the drop test on it...37bps drop test...new batteries in your halo? everything clean? i dont know why it would go so slowly with paint but not with out paint....is that no paint but air? or no paint no air no eyes? hows it run without the eyes and the halo? i'll see if i cant find my drop test video and bump it up for you to see
