i wonder waht it takes to legalise a skyline in the US there is one here in MO that i have seen at NOPI a few times but have never talked to the girl who drives it.
You need to have it registerd under as a kit car or something and it needs to be sent in parts as a frame to the US then assembled here

I agree.... at laest i can say it
honestly saying something about getting a skyline is just as bad as saying I gonna get an ENZO or I want an enzo since it is basically impossible not even at a money stand point just in rarity and leagality

The cost for us to legalize a car for you varies from $16,000 - $25,000 depending on the year of the vehicle. This does not include shipping , bonds ,tarriffs , custom brokerage fee , and associated shipping
as I was saying it needs to be assembld why do you think there are so few. I have seen one street driving ever the rest are not street car for a REASON

Its still retarded to try and legalise one there....
If you take a cheap R32... then yea thats easy done. They are only like $10,000

and total cost is like 25k all said and done and you have an ugly skyline that is older and slower. Supra is a screaming deal in this case

Do you have any idea how simple it is to get a 550hp R32? My friend got one at an auction for only £3200... thats like $6000

look on Ebay and in the US there are a few for sale sometimes and they are like $20k plus
not to mention that is not shipped to US shores not brocken into peices for a rebuild on our side. add that into effect and it more than doubles what you just payed for the car

Conclusion: In the USA it is not worth buying a skyline lol

yup yup. it is just a ricer thing to do IMO. there are so many cars jsut as much potencial at a better cost and can still be rare to have.
MKIV supra only 7900 and some change ever shipped to US soil total from 93-98 not per year total most car are produced more than that in a year.
Or how bout the Alpine silver supra of 1995 with teh TT and hard top roof only 2 EVER shipped to the US

Well ya the TT is a joke. all High HP supras pull off the TT and go with one HUGE single turbo setup (which I would do)

^same with the 6g72tt. one of these days i will own a vr-4 with a single turbo upgrade

well that car is a different story. TT may be better for a V6 platform. plus it is harder to fit a big turbo in that bay (its done commonly but I see alot of EVO 16G\20G upgrades)
paintballproam
9/22/2006 11:56:57 PM
so how does the VR4 play into things?
davidmitsusrock
9/23/2006 12:02:00 AM
i was comparing it to the supra single turbo upgrade being commonly done....

yes it is a tight fit but with the whole Y pipe thing the single turbo upgrade just seems better. anyone know if Matt Monnett's stealth is running single or twin?
