The Evo and I took the next step lol

well after having a MA rejection sticker on my car for 11 months.  I finally got the hook up with a passin Ma state inspection sticker.  I failed for emisions (not cat), exhaust to loud, and tint to dark.  Before I had the CEL on from the rear o2 cause of no cat.  this time I made the autozone special $5 o2 fix and it worked.  Now I dont need to be paranoid when I drive the car.  I put th first 70 miles on the car since the end f october.  Started by turning the boost all the way down for a bit and zeroed out the SAFC so the car could used to beng in motion again.  By the end of teh night I was running 20PSI with my SAFC retuned again and driving lke a champ.   Except now it is being parked and ripped apart in a week or 2 lol

cool man, im curious to see what happens when I take mine in for emission testing lol. Well emonz cant wait to see when you get the project rolling.

do you have a check engine light on?  cause that is a automatic fail

If your exhaust was too loud, (I'm thinking you're talking about your muffler) then why didn't you put a silencer on it?

No I dont have a check engine light, they made me the o2 sim when I went to have my road tune.

I dont have a silencer nor do I want one.  all I needed was an o2 fix and the right place to give the the "hook up"

I think when I go I'll slip the guy a twenty and hopefully I can be on my way lol.

i went also with my 2 and got the sticker without the cat. However it cost alittle more than slipping a 20 to get the sticker. , more like 60

well if thats what it takes then so be it huh, 60 bucks will get me a couple more years without cats lol.

that means slipping a $60 in with the already $30 it is for the sticker sooo $90.

yea pretty much.   same with me.  I have no cat, illeagal tint, and exhaust way over the leagal DB level.

man were do you guys live that they are this strict on that stuff, haha i guess i live in iowa so here the only thing my loud car will be bothering is the corn and the cows, man cant wait to see and hear your cars

Good Ole' Massachussetts. One of the worst states for state inspections. Maybe aside from California. But they are pretty strict. Although i heard not to long ago that in 2008 they are doing away with the dyno smog testing and only doing OBD readings. So that means any car under 1996 does not need to have emission testing. Which means me . So after this im done paying the $90 for an inspection

I don't have emissions in ohio atl all.  I guess I should be thankful.

I just wanted to post whore this one and say that every time I read the name on this thread, all I can do is picture someone marrying an Evo. Which... since noone else can see the picture in my head... it more than amusing..

yea to bad my car is faster than your POS still to.  That must suck cause if you raced me youd get stuck behind me having to listen to it.
